Lilly + Associates opens new Florida distribution center

The international freight forwarder opened a 180,000-square-foot distribution center in Medley, Fla. to primarily handle high valued electronics, cell phones, computers, liquor and duty-free travel retail.    Lilly + Associates International has officially opened a new distribution center in Medley, Fla., about 14 miles northwest of PortMiami, the company confirmed Thursday.
   The new warehouse is also near Port Everglades and 20 minutes from Miami International Airport. It contains 180,000 square feet of public domestic and bonded distribution space, as well as 49 shipping and receiving doors.
   It’s main concentration, according to the owner, will be high valued electronics, cell phones, computers, liquor and duty-free travel retail.
   With its latest addition, Lilly + Associates now has over 500,000 square feet of free zone operations when coupled with the company’s Panama free zone warehouse.
   “The company’s new warehouse allows for additional services to be offered to its customers, including inventory management, order fulfillment, cross-docking, transloading, as well as custom built office space for lease so customers can be right next to their goods,” Lilly + Associates explained in a statement.
   Headquartered in nearby Doral, Fla., Lilly + Associates specializes in international transportation solutions, warehousing, distribution, e-commerce fulfillment, and foreign trade zone operations.
