The increase, $250 per TEU, applies to shipments from all ports in Asia to New Zealand and from ports in Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to Australia.
The increase is in line with rate increases proposed by the New Zealand Discussion Agreement, whose members are CNC Line, COSCO Container Lines, Hamburg Süd, Maersk Line, MISC Berhad, MOL, NYK Line, OOCL and PIL.
