LLOYD TRIESTINO, EVERGREEN FINALIZE ASIA/MED/NORTH EUROPE CHANGE

    Lloyd Triestino, the sister company of Evergreen, has announced the
details of its new China Europe Mediterranean weekly service.
    The container service, which commences on Aug. 3, will replace
Evergreen’s former "AME" operation.
    The CEM service will have direct calls at the mainland China ports of
Qingdao, Shanghai and Ningbo. In Europe, a call at Rotterdam is being added, but
Gothenburg will be cut out of the itinerary of the service.
    The rotation of the service is Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Gioia Tauro, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Thamesport, Antwerp, Gioia Tauro,
Singapore, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong and Qingdao again.
    The service will employ 10 containerships of 2,728-TEU capacity
operated by Lloyd Triestino. The previous AME service of Evergreen used 9 vessels on this
route.
    Evergreen will have space on the service of its affiliate.
