Lloyd Triestino provides ship in Med/U.S. service
Lloyd Triestino, the Italian affiliate of the Evergreen group, will become a vessel provider instead of a slot charterer in the Mediterranean/U.S. trade mid-December, as part of the “Amerigo Express” vessel-sharing agreement with Marseilles-based CMA CGM.
The Trieste-based shipping line will contribute one containership to the five-vessel joint service, which calls U.S. ports in New York, Norfolk, Savannah and Miami, and ports in Italy, Spain and France.
The change in Lloyd Triestino’s status to vessel provider coincides with China Shipping’s withdrawal from the vessel-sharing agreement.
