LNG terminal reaches regulatory milestone A group that proposes to build an liquefied natural gas terminal on an artificial island 13.5 miles south of Long Beach, Long Island, said it had reached a “regulatory milestone” with notification from the U.S. Coast Guard that its application has been deemed “complete.”
   Atlantic Sea Island Group, a consortium of private investors active in financing and development of energy and infrastructure projects, said notification from the Coast Guard means the regulatory, oversight and review processes can now continue pursuant to federal regulations.
   The group said it will be able to deliver 2 billion cubic feet of natural gas each day to 65 million consumers from the terminal.
