Logistadvise starts owner-operator rate index

The trucking information platform launched in September to allow shippers to build their domestic transportation network.    The trucking network information platform Logistadvise said this week it has started a rate index populated with rates provided by owner-operators.
   The index, sponsored by the Rate Per Mile Masters Facebook group, is designed to let owner-operators share their rates “to allow them to receive fair market value for their trucking services,” officials said.
   To prevent false rates, all entries are moderated by Logistadvise and the Rate Per Mile Masters Community. The calculated distances are determined by Google Maps, Logistadvise said.
   Owner-operators can choose to submit rates directly to the index with their name or email Logistadvise for approval. Rates are searchable on a point to point basis.
   Logistadvise launched in September as a resource for shippers to research carriers they can work with according to their lanes. The Rate Per Miles Masters community started in spring.
