The joint venture will consolidate and expand bulk cargo handling services of both companies in the U.S. Southeast and Gulf region.
Logistec USA Inc. (Logistec), a subsidiary of Logistec Corporation, and Gulf Coast Bulk Equipment, Inc. (GCBE) have signed a definitive agreement to form a new joint venture, dubbed Logistic Gulf Coast LLC.
The joint venture will consolidate and expand the companies’ bulk cargo services in the U.S. Southeast and Gulf regions by handling bulk cargo at locations in Florida, Louisiana and along the Mississippi River, according to a release issued by Logistec Corporation.
Based in Montreal, Logistec Corporation offers break-bulk, bulk and container cargo handling services in eastern North America. GCBE was established in 2008 and handles bulk cargo in Port Manatee, Tampa Bay and other southeastern ports.
