LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT FUND MAY MERGE TRUCKING COMPANIES

   Logistics Management, LLC, the owner of Marietta, Ga.-based Professional Transportation Group Ltd., Inc. and of U.S. Trucking, Inc., headquartered in Charlotte, S.C., said that it will consider combining the two trucking and logistics companies.
   Professional Transportation Group is a truckload and logistics services company that provides services to the air freight industry nation-wide in the U.S. One of its major customers if Federal Express.
   U.S. Trucking is a long-haul trucking, freight brokerage and regional container hauling company.
   Logistics Management, an investment vehicle for Anthony Huff and Dan Pixler, chairman and president/chief executive officer, respectively, of U.S. Trucking, purchased a 56-percent stake in Professional Transportation Group in December.
   Logistics Management said that, as a core carrier for Federal Express, it expects that it will take advantage of the "explosion in the time-definite package delivery business resulting from the continued expansion of e-commerce."
