Longardner Midwest Rail Shippers president
The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers has elected Craig Longardner, manager of materials and transportation at Steel Dynamics in Butler, Ind., as president for 2009.
Patrick Coseglia, national accounts manager, Norfolk Southern Corp. in Westchester, Ill., will serve as first vice president, and Randy Worth, vice president and general manager of Merchants Distribution Service in Des Moines, Iowa, will be second vice president.
MARS is one of five regional North American associations linked under the North American Rail Shippers umbrella. Headquartered in the Chicago area, MARS provides a forum for discussion and resolution of rail transportation issues by bringing together railroads, shippers, receivers, and rail supply companies together twice a year for formal meetings, also held in the Chicago area.
