Longtime U.S. WWL executive named deputy CEO

   Christopher Connor has been appointed deputy chief executive officer of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, effective Friday.
   Connor will add the new role to his current position as head of the Americas region for WWL, and will continue to be based at the company’s Americas headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. He replaces Anders Boman, who has been named chief executive of Wallenius Lines in Stockholm.
   Connor joined Wallenius Lines in 1994 in the United States as vice president of sales and marketing. When Wallenius Lines and Wilhelmsen Lines formed Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics in July 1999, Connor was named executive vice president of the Americas region. He relocated to the company’s global corporate headquarters in summer 2001 and took up the position of head of the commercial division in August 2001. In 2002, he became chief operating officer of the company’s Ocean Services division, prior to being appointed president of the Americas region in 2004.
