The appointment is effective March 5, but Lord will join the company from Dec. 5 to aid the transition from current regional director Greg Martin, who is retiring from WWL after 40 years in the shipping and logistics industry.
Lord has served in executive positions with Oceania-based mining, wood and paper goods industries, most recently as chief executive officer of Gloucester Coal before the company was acquired in 2009.
WWL specializes in shipping and logistics services for manufacturers of cars, trucks, and heavy equipment.
