LSI-Sigma develops INTTRA-ready software for U.K. market

Southampton, United Kingdom-based software company LSI-Sigma has developed for compatriot M.A. Logistics a freight forwarding suite called “DataFreight” which includes connectivity to INTTRA, the global electronic commerce platform for ocean freight.

The software module also caters to import and export for air and road freight, and includes a warehousing and duty management system.

“Now there is a documentation system available in the U.K. with the ability to connect with INTTRA at a cost that the smallest of exporters or forwarders can afford,” said Peter Holdsworth, a director and founder of Liverpool-based M.A. Logistics.

“INTTRA is close to its customers. This is the only portal offering local e-business expertise around the world. Having our sales and EDI integration support expertise in local markets helps customers make a faster and easier transition to e-business; a transition that is aligned with local practice,” said Michael Schutt Nielsen, INTTRA’s senior vice president, global commercial sales.

The INTTRA carrier network represents more than 61 percent of the container capacity among the world’s top ocean carriers.
