The German company’s net profit for last year more than doubled to 1.65 billion euros ($2.4 billion) from 803 million euros in 2006. The net gain was attributed to “positive business development and income from portfolio management.”
Revenue for 2007 increased 13 percent to 22.4 billion euros ($33 billion) from 19.8 billion euros.
