Lufthansa Cargo adding Mexico City Lufthansa Cargo will from January operate freighter services to Mexico City as part of its new winter schedule that runs from late October to the end of March.
   The German air carrier will serve the Mexican capital, pending the granting of traffic rights, twice weekly with MD-11 freighters. Stopovers in Dallas will raise services there to four traffic days weekly.
   Other changes to Lufthansa Cargo’s winter timetable will see improved frequencies to New York, Chicago and the South Korean capital Seoul. It is additionally laying on new cargo capacities to Orlando in the belly hold of Lufthansa’s passenger aircraft that will serve the Florida destination five days a week.
   Freighter flights to and from Cologne in Germany are about to be transferred to Leipzig/Halle Airport due to the opening of the DHL Express European hub in Leipzig. Also, from April 2009, Lufthansa Cargo and DHL will commence operations in Leipzig with their new joint cargo carrier.
