LUFTHANSA CARGO, ENVIROTAINER INTRODUCE COOL AIR CARGO CONTAINER

   Lufthansa Cargo has introduced a cool container for temperature-sensitive air-freight shipments into its Cool/td Service Package.

   The container, developed by Envirotainer, has an active cooling system that Lufthansa Cargo is marketing to the international pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

   The Frankfurt-based air-freight company offers the Controlled Logistics Device, or CLD, as part of its Cool/td Service Package, a time-definite service for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, such as insulin, antibiotics, vaccines and high-grade perishable goods.
