LUFTHANSA, SINGAPORE AIR LINK CARGO SERVICES
Lufthansa Cargo and Singapore Airlines have agreed to extend their
cooperation by relaying each other’s express shipments to a limited number
of destinations.
Singapore Airlines will handle Lufthansa’s "td.flash" express
service to
16 points in Southeast Asia. Lufthansa will reciprocate by moving Singapore
Air’s "Swiftrider" express cargo to 16 points in Europe.
The airlines say that if the program works, it will be expanded.
Lufthansa Cargo will begin similar arrangements with SAS Cargo in early
April. SAS, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines recently agreed to cooperate
more closely on air-cargo business.
