Lykes adds West African feeder link

Lykes adds West African feeder link

Lykes Lines, a carrier of the CP Ships group, is adding a dedicated feeder connecting the African ports of Abidjan, in the Ivory Coast, Tema, in Ghana, and Lagos, in Nigeria.

The feeder connects in Abidjan with Lykes’ North America-Africa multi-purpose service, which has recently added a call at the port of Abidjan. The feeder also links with Lykes’ Europe-Africa-East Coast of South America service, which has been upgraded to a frequency of eight days.

Lykes said that additional West African feeder services are also available to Libreville, Gabon; Douala, Cameroon; Freetown, Sierra Leone; Pointe Noire, Congo; Cotonou, Benin and Lome, Togo.

The carrier also provides feeder links along East Africa and Southwest Africa. Last year Lykes signed am agreement with Global Container Lines to carry cargo between South African and East African ports.
