Lykes joins U.S./Oceania trade

   CP Ships subsidiary Lykes Lines is set to join the U.S./Oceania trade from October by taking slots on three existing services in the trade.

   In the U.S. West Coast/Oceania trade, Lykes will join the weekly “PNW” and “PSW” services of Australia-New Zealand Direct Line, Columbus Line, FESCO, Maersk Sealand and P&O Nedlloyd and market them as “South Pacific West Coast Sprint Loop 1 and 2” respectively.

   Lykes will also join the weekly “Westabout” service, between the U.S. East Coast and Oceania, of CMA CGM, Columbus Line, Contship Containerlines, Hapag-Lloyd, Marfret and P&O Nedlloyd. Lykes will market the service as “South Pacific East Coast Sprint”.
