Lynxs readies Bogota cargo development
Lynxs Bogota CargoPort said it closed the competitive tender process on July 1 for development of a new air cargo facility at Colombia's Bogota airport.
The facility, at full build-out, will encompass 800,000 square feet of air cargo and ancillary operations.
'The design and development of these state-of-the-art air cargo facilities represent a new era of economic growth for the Colombian export sector and signals the advent of Latin America leading the way in developing highly sophisticated aviation infrastructure,' the Austin, Texas-based real estate development company said in a statement.
Lynxs has recently completed air cargo projects at the Houston, Chicago and Anchorage airports. The company is overseeing cargo-related construction at Vienna International Airport, and recently secured the rights to develop new cargo facilities at Chicago's O'Hare airport, as well as the airports of Calgary, Canada, and Shannon, Ireland.
