MacAndrews adds calls on Swahili Express
London-based MacAndrews, owned by France’s CMA CGM, is adding direct calls to the ports of Nacala in Mozambique and Longoni, Mayotte in the Indian Ocean to its Indian subcontinent/Middle East/East Africa Swahili Express (SWAX) service.
The 1,107-TEU “MacAndrews Swala” started the new rotation when it departed Nhava Sheva in India on Sunday and is scheduled to call at Nacala on April 7. The SWAX service now has a port rotation of Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Khor Fakkan, Dar es Salaam, Mombasa, Nacala, Longoni and back to Nhava Sheva on a round trip of 31 days.
“MacAndrews sees this as an opportunity to provide an even more consistent and reliable service to the South East African market. This will open doors for more clients to the global export and import market,” the carrier said in a statement.
Mocargo SARL represents MacAndrews in East Africa with branch offices in Nacala, Maputo and Beira.
