Mack member of new consulting group
Rudy Mack, former president and chief executive officer for Hapag- Lloyd (America), is one of the members of a newly formed consulting group called Global Logistics Experts (GLE).
Rudy Mack Associates is one of a dozen founding members in eight different countries that have formed the group, which said it would have a global presence with members on each continent.
GLE plans to focus on three areas: executive search and recruitment, logistics consulting and project management, and mergers and acquisitions.
Inorateam SA of Lugano, Switzerland, has been appointed secretary and will take care of the administration on behalf of all members.
GLE said it will have a rotating chairman, and the first chairman will be Hans J. Willam, managing owner of WCL ' Worldwide Consultants in Logistics of Hamburg, Germany.
In addition to Mack, North American members of GLE are Dennis Wilkinson, the former founder of Worldlink Logistics, and Tom Daunais, a former Schenker and Excel executive who ran the transpacific product and sale of Geodis Wilson before joining GLE.

“It will allow all members of this group to offer their long-time expertise to equally experienced partners in the other countries,” he said. “This group will become a unique opportunity on global basis for any interested party to use their unparalleled experience. We decided not to form a separate company, but this group will allow each partner to individually act on a global scale for their respective clients using on one-to-one basis anyone of the Global Logistics Experts group, when required.
“We have been very careful which partners to accept in this global group as it was and is essential that all members endorse the principle of supporting each other with the goal of offering our clients effective and global partnerships,' he added.
