Maeda promoted to managing director at APL Japan
APL has appointed Koichi Maeda managing director for its activities in Japan, effective July 1.
He will oversee all aspects of APL’s operations in Japan from the company’s regional base in Tokyo. Maeda was director of APL Japan’s “customer facing group.” His career includes senior positions in human resources, marketing, business planning and systems coordination.
Maeda replaces Jim McAdam, who has been promoted to senior vice president for business solutions with APL’s parent, Neptune Orient Lines.
