Maersk adds North Europe calls to Paranagua Express

Maersk adds North Europe calls to Paranagua Express Maersk Line has extended to North Europe its weekly Mediterranean/East Coast South America Paranagua Express with additional calls at Rotterdam in the Netherlands and Antwerp in Belgium.
   At the same time, the Danish carrier has cancelled southbound calls at the West African port of Conakry in Guinea.
   The Paranagua Express now uses five ships of about 2,800 TEUs and calls Rotterdam; Antwerp; Algeciras, Spain; Vitoria, Brazil; Montevideo, Uruguay; Paranagua, Brazil; Santos, Brazil; and back to Rotterdam.
   The vessel 'Maersk Jakarta' started the revised voyage rotation when it called at Montevideo Saturday. The revised Paranagua Express offers a transit time of 11 days from Santos to Rotterdam.
   In the same trade, Maersk has 'fine-tuned' its weekly Itajai Express by dropping seasonal calls at Pecem in Brazil and Tarragona in Spain from the rotation
