Maersk Asia/Europe loop switches to Singapore
Maersk Line said this week its AE2 service between Asia and Europe will begin calling at Singapore, rather than Tanjun Pelepas, on the eastbound leg.
The service, which Maersk operates with 10 ships averaging 8,161 TEUs, has a new rotation of Busan, Tianjin, Dalian, Qingdao, Gwangyang, Shanghai, Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Tanjung Pelepas and Busan.
The change from Tanjung Pelepas to Singapore took effect June 30.
'The diversion to Singapore will mean a delay of only a few hours,' Maersk said in a weekly customer update. 'We apologize for any inconvenience this schedule change may cause.'
