Maersk Asia service drops Miami call

Maersk Asia service drops Miami call

Maersk Lines says it is dropping its Port of Miami call from its Asia/Central America service.

Miami was the only U.S. port call for the service. Maersk also dropped calls at Manzanillo, Panama, and Cartagena, Colombia from the service. The service will add a call at Xiamen, China, resulting in a new port rotation of Ningbo; Xiamen; Yantian; Hong Kong; Kwangyang; Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico; Balboa; and back to Ningbo.

The vessel Jervis Bay, now en route under the old port rotation, will make one final call at Miami before the new schedule is implemented.

Details of the revised service are now available from American Shipper's affiliated database for global liner services, ComPair Data, at http://www.compairdata.com .
