Maersk drops Halifax, Le Havre on TA4 loop
Maersk Line will drop calls at Le Havre and Halifax on a transatlantic service it operates between Northern Europe and Canada, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
The service, the TA4, will drop the calls as of Jan. 14, giving a revised rotation of Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Montreal, and Bremerhaven. ComPair Data said the length of the rotation ' 28 days ' will not change despite the deletion of the two calls, suggesting the service will be operated at slower speeds.
Maersk deploys four vessels with an average capacity of 2,890 TEUs on the service, with APL and CMA CGM as slot buyers.
This was the only Maersk service to call Halifax, ComPair Data said.
