Both lines are seeking hikes of $400 per TEU from most of Asia to all parts of Europe. For MSC, the increases include origins in Japan and Black Sea destinations, while for Maersk, those areas are not part of their planned increase.
MSC also said it will seek increases of $300 per TEU on shipments from Asia to Australia aboard its Panda and Wallaby services. That increase affects origins in South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and is applicable from May 15.
