MAERSK ORDERS ANOTHER FOUR 6,600-TEU BOXSHIPS
Maersk Line has ordered another four "S-class" ships of
6,600-TEU capacity from the Lindo shipyard, owned by parent company A. P. Moller.
Maersk said that a total of 19 large "K-class" and "S-class" container
vessels have now been ordered from the shipyard, of which six K and eight S vessels have
been delivered up to now.
The remaining five vessels, all of the S type, will be delivered during
the rest of this year and in 2000.
The Lindo yard also has six container vessels with a capacity of about
3,500-TEU on order to A. P. Moller.
