The general rate increase is $400 per TEU and $500 per 40-foot equivalent unit, 40-foot high-cube or 45-foot container and applies to all cargo moving between the Unites States and Canada and Northern Europe.
“This rate increase is necessary to continue to operate our services with the high level of reliability our customers have come to expect from Maersk Line,” the carrier said.
The rate increase is effective Sept. 1.
