Maersk rejigs intra-Asia services    Maersk Line's intra-Asia carrier MCC Transport said this week it is adding three new feeders and amending expanding port coverage for two other services.
   It has begun a North Vietnam feeder service, NVN-1, which the carrier said provides an alternative cutoff for cargo moving to North Vietnam. The NVN-1 has also replaced the port call to Haiphong on MCC’s existing Cambodia feeder service (KOM-1).
   The NVN-1 has a 14-day rotation of Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Klang, Qui Nhon (Vietnam), Danang, Haiphong, Qui Nhon and Singapore.
   The KOM-1 service, meanwhile, now includes calls at the ports of Belawan, Indonesia, and Penang, Malaysia. The extended KOM-1 service has a 14-day rotation of Belawan, Penang, Port Klang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Sihanoukville (Cambodia) Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Klang and Belawan.
   MCC is also including a call at Songkhla, Thailand, on its IA-3 service, which now has a 14-day rotation of Jakarta, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Songkhla, Laem Chabang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore and Jakarta.
   The carrier will start Thailand feeder service, THA-3, linking Laem Chabang to Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore. The new service will have a seven-day rotation of Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Laem Chabang and Tanjung Pelepas.
   Finally, MCC is starting a Bangladesh shuttle to Malaysia. The new BAN-5 service is meant to complement the line's two existing services, BAN-1 and BAN-2. The BAN-5 will have a 14-day rotation of Tanjung Pelepas, Chittagong, and Tanjung Pelepas and Malaysia.
