Maersk resumes full-speed on CHX

   After only a one-month slow-down, the shipping company Maersk Line has resumed a five-week round voyage time with its CHX service between Asia and the Indian Subcontinent.
   American Shipper reported Jan 12 that the loop had slowed to six weeks, with transit times eastbound to Asia from the Indian Subcontinent increasing by about seven days as vessels slow-steamed, taking one week between Vishakhapatnam, east coast India and Tanjung Pelepas.
   The rotation of the CHX loop remains Qingdao, Xingang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Nansha, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam, Tanjung Pelepas, and Qingdao.
   Maersk subsidiary Safmarine continues to take slots on the CHX along with X-Press Feeders. The service is operated with five Maersk vessels averaging 3,385 TEUs. — ComPair Data, Ben Meyer
