Maersk/Safmarine add Port Louis southbound on Safari

   Maersk Line and subsidiary line Safmarine have added a new call and an additional vessel to their Safari 1 service between Asia and South Africa, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
   The carriers have added a second, southbound call at Port Louis, while increasing the vessels deployed on the service from eight to nine.
   The service has a revised rotation of Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Louis, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Port Louis, Singapore, and Hong Kong. It’s operated with eight Maersk vessels and one Safmarine vessel, with average capacity of 6,934 TEUs.
