MAERSK SEALAND EXTENDS U.K./IBERIA/MED SERVICE TO SCOTLAND

   Maersk Sealand U.K. is extending its Liverpool/Iberia/Mediterranean weekly container service to Scotland, where it will provide a direct service to and from the port of Greenock.

   Starting in early November, the service will depart Greenock on Saturdays and call at Le Havre, Lisbon, Algeciras, Salerno and Gioia Tauro returning via Algeciras, Leixoes and Liverpool.

   The service will use three containerships with capacities of about 1,000 TEUs, including reefer points.
