Maersk Sealand firms up U.S. East Coast/East Coast South America link
Maersk Sealand has announced the port rotation of its new weekly U.S. East Coast/East Coast of South America service, due to start in March.
This follows the Danish mega-carrier’s earlier decision to end its involvement in the Hamburg Sud/Maersk Sealand/P&O Nedlloyd vessel-sharing agreement in the same trade.
Commencing the first week of March, Maersk Sealand’s independent service will call New York, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Charleston, Miami, Puerto Cabello, Santos, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Itajai, Santos, Sepetiba, Salvador, Pecem and back to New York.
