Maersk Sealand leaves U.S./Caribbean agreement

   Maersk Sealand is leaving the Caribbean Shipowners Association, a carrier group in the U.S./Caribbean trade.

   The remaining parties to the agreement are Bernuth Lines, CMA CGM, Crowley Liner Services, Interline Connection, Lykes Lines, Seaboard Marine, Seafreight Line, Sea Star Line, TMM Lines, Tropical Shipping and Zim-American Israeli Shipping Co.

   The carriers have also notified the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission that some of them are changing their participation in the different geographic sectors covered by the agreement.
