Maersk suspends Asia/Central America loader

Maersk said in a customer notice this week it would temporarily withdraw its peak loader AC3 service between Asia and the West Coast of Central America during November.

'We have made this capacity adjustment in order to better balance supply and demand,' the line said.

According to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, the AC3 is a standalone Maersk service with a rotation of Qingdao, Gwangyang, Yokohama, Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, and Qingdao. It operates with seven vessels with an average capacity of 4,325 TEUs.
