Maersk TA2 loop resumes Mobile calls    Maersk Line said this week it has decided to resume calls at the Port of Mobile on its TA2 service connecting the U.S. East and Gulf coasts with northern Europe.
   The Danish line adjusted the rotation of the service at the beginning of September, dropping calls at Mobile. But the Mobile call resumed with Wednesday's sailing from Rotterdam, according to a customer notice this week.
   The carrier gave no explanation for dropping or adding back the Mobile call, other than saying 'this service change remains a temporary adjustment expected to continue until mid-2011.'
   The rotation for the TA2 is now Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Newark, Charleston, Savannah, Mobile, Houston, Miami, Norfolk and Rotterdam.
   The service is operated with five Maersk ships averaging 4,082 TEUs, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
