Maersk to hike Asia/Latin America rates
Maersk Line said Thursday it will raise rates from Asia to Central America and the west coast of South America beginning Jan. 3.
The increases are $400 per 20-foot container and $800 per 40-foot or 45-foot container, and applies to shipments from ports in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam to Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Buenaventura, and Colombia.
