Maggs named Savi’s tech chief

Maggs named SaviÆs tech chief    Savi Technology, a Lockheed Martin company and provider of wireless supply chain technology, has appointed William Maggs to the newly created position of chief technology officer.
   Maggs, who also becomes Savi's senior vice president for technology operations, was chief technology officer at Palm Inc., and worked at mobile phone companies Motorola and Sony Ericsson in advanced technology and ecosystem development roles.
   At Savi, he will serve as the focal point for all technology operations, including the design, development and delivery of wireless products and software for government and commercial markets. Maggs will also oversee Savi's Innovation Lab and operations involving product manufacturing, supply chain management and supplier relationships.
