MainOcean acquires Conquer Logistics, Retail Packers

The port solutions provider and dry warehousing company announced it acquired Conquer Logistics and its sister company Retail Packers, in addition to securing a long-term lease for a 100,000-square foot warehouse and yard in Charleston, S.C.

MainOcean LLC, a port solutions warehouse provider and dry warehousing company, secured a long-term lease for a 100,000-square-foot warehouse and yard in Charleston, S.C to house its offices and provide additional space for its most recent acquisition of third-party logistics provider Conquer Logistics and its sister company, Retail Packers.
The new facility will act as the company’s administrative headquarters, according to a statement from MainOcean.
Conquer Logistics provides retail and dot-com fulfillment services to importers through the Port of Charleston, and Retail Packers is a temporary staffing company that offers packing and rework services for the retail and apparel industries.
In July, MainOcean announced the acquisition of Charleston Freight Station, Inc., a company that provides container freight station services for customers at the Port of Charleston from source to destination. Charleston Freight offers a 50,000-square-foot warehouse, according to the company’s website.
As with the Charleston Freight acquisition, all of Conquer’s current employees will remain with the company. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With the most recent acquisition and the new facility, MainOcean will provide Port of Charleston users with a total of 150,000 square feet of dry warehousing space, ample truck/container yards and cargo handling experience all from two facilities close to the port’s terminals and inland routes.
Based out of Jacksonville, Fla., MainOcean LLC provides vessel services at six ports in the Southeast and Gulf Coast through its subsidiary, MainOcean Port Services.
