Gemstar plans to sell the vessel to Grand International Shipping Co., a Liberia corporation, which will transfer the vessel to the Mongolia registry and flag for scrapping in India.
The vessel was built in 1975 by National Steel & Shipbuilding Co. in San Diego. The tank ship has a gross weight of 22,357 tons and a 39,675 deadweight tonnage.
