Marseilles-FosÆ 11-month container volume up 4.5%
The Port of Marseilles-Fos in France handled 908,000 TEUs in the first 11 months of 2007, up 4.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
Container throughput at the Fos terminals, which handles east/west container services, increased 8.1 percent to 647,000 TEUs.
Up to the end of November, total port traffic at the Mediterranean port declined 4.3 percent to 87.9 million tons, due to continued lower demand in the high volume oil and dry bulk sectors.
