Martinair launches OAG freight product, expands OAG to India OAG, a developer of air cargo software services, said Tuesday that Dutch airline Martinair Cargo would be the launch customer for its new Airfreight Rates product.
Airfreight Rates is a Web-based product that links real time rate information between carriers and freight forwarders. OAG made the announcement at the start of The International Air Cargo Association Air Cargo Forum in Kuala Lumpur
“It will become the carrier's new global internal rates management system, designed to increase operational efficiencies and drive improvements in its customer communications,” OAG said in a statement. “The airline will have the flexibility to upload its latest tariffs, make these instantly accessible to its customers and provide quotations electronically, giving it complete control in managing the entire rates management process and eliminating the need for paper-based communications with freight forwarders worldwide.”
OAG also said it has appointed a local agent to expand business opportunities in India and Nepal. OAG has tapped New Delhi-based ABV Techno Solutions
“Despite the current economic climate we believe that India offers significant opportunities for OAG and remains a key driver of Asia's growth,' said Mike Navin, managing director OAG Cargo Solutions, in a statement.
'The availability of OAG Cargo services in the Indian market marks a significant milestone which would transform the way the cargo industry functions in India,' said Vikramjit Ahluwalia, ABV managing director.
