Maruba joins Asia/Med trade aboard new China Shipping service
Argentina’s Maruba is entering the Asia/Mediterranean trade by taking slots on the new weekly AMX1 service of China Shipping Container Lines.
Maruba is taking 200 TEUs in both directions on the service between the following ports: Valencia, Barcelona, Genoa, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Chiwan and Port Kelang.
The AMX1 service was created after China Shipping decided to end its westbound round-the-world Asia-Med-America Express (AMAX) loop.
The new service uses seven ships averaging about 4,100 TEUs and has a full port rotation of Shanghai; Ningbo; Xiamen; Nansha; Chiwan; Port Kelang; Damietta, Egypt; Valencia; Barcelona; Genoa; Naples; Port Kelang and back to Shanghai.
China Shipping and Maruba also partner on a number of services covering Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America.
