Tara Massood, a former executive with Thomasville Home Furnishings in New Jersey, is the company’s new general manager, and Paula Powell Cubberley, previously of Furniture Transport Group, will join the company as an account executive.
The Massood family founded MGM Transport and continued to run the carrier until 2007, when it was merged with two other carriers to form Furniture Transport Group. Massood Logistics has a 550,000-square-foot distribution center in Eden, N.J., as well as a distribution operation in Edison, N.J.
Massood Logistics now offers furniture assembly and repairs in addition to prior warehousing, packaging and consolidation services.
