Massport will break ground Friday on a new freight corridor and memorial park in South Boston, Mass.
Massport said the corridor will remove truck traffic from the Conley Container Terminal from heavy residential areas and connect it to major highways.
It added that more than a million tons of cargo pass through Massport’s terminals annually.
