MatchBack Systems release update to street turn solution

SaaS software provider MatchWerks’ new release allows more options to help shippers and service providers match import and export loads for reuse of containers in supply chains.    The software-as-a-service street-turns software provider MatchBack Systems on Monday released an update to its flagship MatchWerks solution.
   The new version, MatchWerks 2.0, expands upon the automation of the street-turn process to “assist big data manipulation for empty ISO containers in the supply chain.”
   Specifically, the platform includes enhanced auto match functionality; match priority (which allows users to indicate preferred customers with whom they specifically want to match); and distance saved (which allows customers to view their potential matches sorted by the distance saved by executing the street-turn in addition to the miles driven).
   The update also provides detailed analytics and downloadable reports.
   “Our optimization algorithms incorporate our customer’s business rules to quickly focus the planners on optimal matchbacks to execute,” said Todd Ericksrud, president and chief executive officer of MatchBack Systems. “Every missed matchback costs the industry hundreds of dollars.
