MATSON INTERMODAL SYSTEMS ACQUIRES PARAGON TRANSPORTATION GROUP
Matson Intermodal Systems, the intermodal marketing subsidiary of Matson Navigation Co., has acquired Dublin, Calif.-based Paragon Transportation Group, which specializes in intermodal rail and over-the-road services in the western United States.
Paragon will become Matson Intermodal – Paragon Inc., a subsidiary of Matson Intermodal System.
Joseph Kelly, who founded Paragon in 1995 and has 16 years of transportation industry experience, has been named vice president and general manager of Matson Intermodal – Paragon.
Paragon employs 20, and has offices and customer service locations in Nevada, Montana, Oklahoma and Michigan. The company has handled a range of shipments including California wines, canned foods, dried nuts, scrap metals, clothing, chemicals and paper products.
