Matson-parent A&B names new acquisitions senior VP

Matson-parent A&B names new acquisitions senior VP Honolulu-based Alexander & Baldwin said Friday it has promoted Lance K. Parker to senior vice president, acquisitions and investments, effective July 1.
   Parker was project manager, acquisitions and was named director, acquisitions in April 2006. He will continue to report to Michael G. Wright, A&B Properties senior vice president of acquisitions and investments.
   A&B, the largest private landowner in Hawaii, is the parent firm of Oakland-based ocean carrier Matson Navigation. Formerly one of the 'Big Five' companies that dominated the island state's early economy, today the 78-year-old firm operates businesses in shipping, real estate and diversified agriculture.
   Prior to joining A&B in 2004, Hawaii-native Parker began his career in Southern California serving more than a decade at the Anaheim office of Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate, rising to the position of associate vice president.
