Med/Arabia carriers raise eastbound rates
The Mediterranean Arabia Conference carriers are planning to raise eastbound rates, effective Nov. 1.
A rate restoration of $ 75 per 20-foot container and $100 per 40-foot container will be applied.
The conference said that this is part of the rate restoration program for 2003, and will apply to eastbound rates from the Mediterranean to the Middle East gulf, Jeddah and Iran.
Members of the Mediterranean Arabia Conference are CMA CGM, Maersk Sealand, Messina Line, Norasia Container Lines, Safmarine and United Arab Shipping Co.
